Swedenborg as a Physical Scientist

This transaction, number 4, is based on an address given by Professor Herbert Dingle, D.S.c, A.R.C.S, at the Swedenborg Society’s 250th birthday celebration in Queen’s Hall London on the 29th of January 1938.

In this essay Professor Dingle posits that Swedenborg as Seer could only exist because he began as Swedenborg the scientist.  Dingle continues to identify the scientific underpinning of Swedenborg’s later writings on the Scriptures and his own feeling that Swedenborg was aided by Divine revelation.

This transaction only costs £1 and is an interesting exploration of the relationship between Enlightenment science and spiritual theory. A limited edition, available from the Swedenborg Society shop and website.
