At risk of social-media-overload, I’m writing this blog to let you know that we have sent out our latest e-newsletter, containing news and reviews related to Swedenborg and to the Swedenborg Society. This includes book news: information on the new Tarcher/Penguin edition of Gary Lachman’s introduction to Swedenborg and e-book editions of Blake’s London by Iain Sinclair and Gardens of Heaven and Earth by Kristin King. The e-newsletter also contains news on events: the forthcoming storytelling performance by Sally Pomme Clayton, discovering Platonic ideas in the myth of Eros and Psyche, the screening of Patience (After Sebald) in Swedenborg Hall on 14 May, featuring Grant Gee and Christopher Woodward and the poetry reading and book signing by Homero Aridjis, (pictured, left) accompanied by Ali Smith. Finally we bring a special recommendation for Concerning the Entrance into Eternity, the new album from lutanist Jozef Van Wissem and filmmaker/guitarist Jim Jarmusch, influenced by Blake and Swedenborg(!) You can read the e-newsletter online here.
Enjoy! If you would like to join the Swedenborg Society e-newsletter mailing list, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org.
